The Outernet was high on energy when Amaarae took the stage at the first of two sold-out night shows. As a part of her Fountain Baby Tour, Amaare played to the London crowd who was more than ready to see her take the stage after having rescheduled the show. The fans and vibe in the room never stopped for a second and was maintained from start to finish.
She took the stage in a latex red number before performing hits from her debut album and its follow-up, Fountain Baby. The Ghanaian American songstress showed her versatility with a setlist that managed to capture all the various sonic elements displayed on both albums. Not to mention her stage presence, which never wavered from the moment she arrived on stage to when she finished her hour-long set.
Fan favourites like Princess Go Digital, Jumping Ships and Fancy got their time to shine with the crowd going crazy. Sad Girls Luv Money also got its love, bringing all the money manifestation vibes twice around when she did it again for the encore.
The show blended the two albums, showing just how diverse of a singer she is. Set with an outfit change and visuals that married well with the songs as well as an intermission that included an interlude of Flo Milli’s Never Lose Me.
As an artist, Amaarae has never shied away from her individuality. She has perfectly blended her Afrobeats sounds with notes of Pop, Rock, R&B, and other musical elements that have made her an artist who has always been able to stand out on so many levels. Her performance was a stunning display of her ever-evolving artistry and just how unique she is as an artist.
