Lagos, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt — The Vogue Boys Summer Cookout Tour has taken the nation by storm, leaving a trail of unforgettable memories, high-energy performances, and viral moments across Nigeria’s most vibrant cities.
The tour began in Lagos on the 1st of April, closing out the Easter holidays with an unforgettable rager. The energy carried forward to Ibadan on the 25th of May at Copacapana, Bodija, where the city's party animals came out enmasse to party with their Lagosian counterparts who hopped on a bus from Lagos to Ibadan to join the festivities. Activities included mechanical bull rides, bouncy castles, cannon-balling into pristine swimming pools, and intense water gun battles as music from top DJs, artists & hype people kept the crowd dancing and engaged throughout the event.
Most recently, the tour stopped at Port Harcourt on the 13th of July at Oak Park & Garden and it was nothing short of spectacular. With an explosive lineup including Lagos-based Smada, SL THE DJ, Calix, WeAreChemicals, DJ Keywe, Port-Harcourt based DJ Dummzy, DJ Henry, Rahim Vibes and energetic hosts TheMelodyNotMIA, Dex, and Karlito, the event was a massive hit. Attendees raged to music from various genres but their reaction to Rema's newly released "Match Am" created a viral sensation as videos of Vogue Boys vibing to the song at Summer Cookout PH flooded social media in the days following the event.
Contemplating the success of the tour in a recent instagram post, the creative producer at Vogue Boys, Ebuka Nwobu commented, "we have the best family behind us", in reference to the growing community of creatives and ragers with such a profound commitment to the Vogue Boys cause that they take trips out of their localities to join the rage.
